Synopsis

We see Hoffa's life (Nicholson) through the eyes of his friend, Bobby Ciaro (Devito), from his early days during the Great Depression as he founded the Teamsters Union, to his rise to President of that union and his frequent clashes with President Roosevelt, through his battles with the Kennedys that ultimately landed him in prison, to his Presidential pardon by Richard Nixon and his mysterious disappearance in 1975.
