Cars, is the seventh animated feature film to be created by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures, and is directed by Pixar's two-time Academy Award winner John Lasseter, who directed Toy Story, A Bug's Life, and Toy Story 2.

A hotshot rookie race car driven to succeed - Lightning McQueen, discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line, and is unexpectedly detoured in the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs.

McQueen, on route to the big Piston Cup Championship in California, to compete against two seasoned pros, gets to know the town's offbeat characters which include Sally, a snazzy 2002 Porsche, Doc Hudson, a 1951 Hudson Hornet with a mysterious past, and Mater, a rusty tow truck, who help him realize that there are more important things than trophies, fame and sponsorship.
