Sangam

Starts August 20th, Mon-Thu, 10pm
Keeping up to its viewer’s expectations and giving them an interesting mix of programming, India’s leading Hindi general entertainment channel - STAR PLUS once again is all set to launch its new weekday primetime show-‘Sangam’ starting 20 August, Mon -Thu, 10pm.

Sangam-Fox Television Studios India’s second show after its current primetime success-Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni, for Indian television and for STAR PLUS, the show promises to be a first of its kind that will picture a unique yet identifiable relationship of a daughter with her parents.

Deepak Segal, Head, Fox Television Studios India, said, “Sangam is Fox Television Studios attempt towards a story which is very inspirational in character. Set around a conservative society and the triumph & tryst of Ganga (the protagonist) against it, Sangam will indeed be a meeting point of dreams & destiny, where Ganga’s character will be a portrayal of determination & heroism.”

Sangam a melting pot of simple but strong concept; is a story of a small town girl-Ganga who is an intelligent and an ambitious girl. Ganga believes in following her dreams and doing the best for her family. With her determined & heroic character, she holds the centre to the show, as she strives to fulfill her father’s hopes & dreams.

Going against the conservative norms of the society in which they live in, Ganga’s father always treats her as a ‘son’ which gives her strength to explore her formidable spirit so much so that she holds the courage to be selfless and lets every opportunity pass her by for resurrection, while putting others interests before her own aspirations. With its power-packed cast Sangam has a variety of artists playing strong characters including: Chaitanya Chaudhary (Kahiin Toh Hoga) playing the character of Sagar; Jennifer Winget (Kasautii Zindagi Kay) essays the lead role of Ganga, and newcomer Shaleen Bhanot playing the character of Madan.

So stay tuned to watch out for this path-breaking journey of Ganga…‘Sangam’, starting 20 August, Mon-Thurs, 10 pm only on STAR PLUS!
